Feral Form takes a naturalistic approach to formal design. Much like the soil that fosters healthy plant life, we understand that each site is network of elements to work with, not against. Through understanding the makeup of a site, we create intentional spaces that honor the local ecology while accentuating the architecture. By embracing the existing conditions, we are able to plan coherent landscapes that acknowledge the features of a site. Tailoring our designs to work with the local flora and fauna enables us to create spaces that marry the needs of both the client and nature.
Our passion and understanding of plant material assists us in our vision to devise plans that are resilient and aesthetically coherent. We seek to begin each project from a tenable perspective that allows the landscape to express itself. This principle is foundational in our methodology and maintenance of a site. Rather than demonstrate our control over a landscape, the genesis of our work is through observation and appreciation. No matter the project, we understand that the magic of a garden is not solely predicted by the designer but by the organisms that celebrate it.
